Chris brings 15 years of strategic and operational leadership from the financial sector and the United States Navy. Before joining JA Moody, he provided merger and acquisition advisory services to middle-market firms in business services, distribution, and industrial sectors.
Supporting USS Gunston Hall and Norfolk Naval Shipyard
We’ve been busy this month supporting the USS Gunston Hall by setting and overhauling various valves and actuators to ensure they meet their pre-deployment requirements. In addition, we’ve worked closely with Norfolk Naval Shipyard, taking in several Leslie pilot controllers for the USS Eisenhower, playing a crucial role in its maintenance and operational readiness. Our team’s dedication to these efforts underscores our commitment to providing reliable solutions to meet the needs of our naval forces.
High-Pressure Auto Shut Off Valve (ASV), Manufactured by INFLO in Partnership with JA Moody
Introducing a small valve with a big purpose: the High-Pressure Auto Shut Off Valve (ASV), manufactured by INFLO in partnership with JA Moody.
When a Navy Shipyard reached out to us, frustrated by late deliveries and steep costs from their previous supplier, we stepped up. From purchase order to product ready-to-ship, the valve was delivered on time and within budget.
This specification covers self-contained automatic shutoff valves (also known as excess flow valves) for air or nitrogen service. They are intended to be installed as safety devices to quickly and automatically shut off flow under certain excess flow conditions caused by a downstream failure or casualty, such as a hose rupture.
This ASV is a testament to INFLO and JA Moody’s commitment to innovative, reliable solutions. Huge shoutout to the INFLO team for their stellar work!

NAVSUP had a list of parts vital to completing work, many of which were unavailable through standard supply channels.
JA Moody took immediate action to resolve this. By cross-referencing part numbers with our inventory, we located over 50% of the needed parts within a week.
