Overview

The auto shut-off safety valve (ASV) is a high-pressure valve designed to protect Navy systems and personnel from downstream line breaks. Developed entirely in-house using CFD simulation and experimental validation, this compact, shock-approved globe valve is built for air and nitrogen service up to 3000 PSI and complies with ASTM F1793.

Specifications

Features

  • Safety-Critical: The ASV’s primary function is to act as a safety device, automatically shutting off flow in the event of a line break or damage downstream.
  • High-Pressure & High-Flow: It is engineered to operate with air and nitrogen at pressures up to 3000 PSI, making it suitable for demanding applications.
  • Simulation-First Approach: INFLO utilized computational fluid dynamics (CFD) and a simulation-first approach to optimize the valve’s disc design and ensure structural integrity.
  • Rigorous Validation: The design underwent a thorough validation process, combining empirical, theoretical, and simulation tools for precision.
  • Compact & Robust: The valve is a compact, high-pressure Globe valve.
  • Shock-Approved: It meets shock-approval requirements, essential for naval applications.
  • Compliance: The ASV complies with the ASTM F1793 standard.
