Company History
In the 1970’s, the second owners added military specification valves and valve actuators and began selling to the US Navy. As the company grew, the fluid power business was sold, and the company focused exclusively on Navy valve assemblies.

In 1989, Frank Buzan who was in the US Army became the third (and current) owner of JA Moody and thereby enabled JA Moody to be categorized as a Veteran Owned Small Business (VSOB).
In 2003, a marine repair service group (Moody Marine Service) was established in Florida and Virginia to meet customer needs for actuator and valve repairs. Today, Moody Marine Service is able to repair any Navy actuator in the fleet.
